Looking for Alaska is the 6th most challenged book in the country with 30 bans, as tracked by the American Library Association, and the 2nd most challenged book in school libraries in the country, with 90 bans, as tracked by PEN America. It is also listed as one of NPR’s Top Ten Best-Ever Teen Novels and TIME magazine’s 100 Best Young Adult Novels of All Time. 

Join Librarian Rebecca Harlow as we discuss this as a work of literature as well as an object of censorship.
