Program Description

Event Details

Be part of the Library’s Austentacious celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday with a discussion of her last completed novel, Persuasion. Described as a love story for adults, we will be rooting for Anne Elliot’s second chance at a life with Captain Wentworth, whom she was persuaded not to marry when he was penniless. With a fortune made at sea, he re-enters Anne’s life, and Regency romance at its best ensues!
